WAYS TO GIVE

Gifts to the general fund of any amount are welcome. You may make gifts with cash, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and life insurance. Your gift may be given in the following ways:

Online Giving

Giving of your offering and tithe electronically is encouraged to faithfully give your gift on a continual basis. Faith Lutheran makes electronic giving through your bank or credit card easy. Give a one-time gift or set up an automatic bank transfer on your desired date and at your preferred frequency. Set up a new automatic transfer or edit your current giving by clicking here.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70 1/2 years old or older to donate up to $100,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. Contact your financial institution for more information.

Stocks and Securities

Giving corporate stock or mutual fund shares is an option to fulfill a pledge to the church or as an additional gift. Your financial advisor will put in motion your desire to donate through electronic transfer of your stock or mutual fund shares to the church’s brokerage account.

Please contact the Director of Business & Finance, Kathy Evans by email or phone, and provide the expected date of transfer, name of the stock or mutual fund, the number of shares, and your intentions for your gift.

Donor-Advised Funds

If you establish a donor advised fund, you can direct annual gifts to Faith Lutheran Church or select Faith Lutheran as the ultimate beneficiary of your Donor-Advised Fund. Contact the Director of Business & Finance, Kathy Evans, for more information.

Employee Match Programs

Employee match programs are a benefit that companies offer to encourage and reward giving among their staff. Many employers will match your donation on a variety of different levels. This means that your gift to Faith Lutheran can be worth up to two to four times as much as you currently give. Check with your employer about details.

Offering Envelopes

Using weekly envelopes connects our generosity with participation in worship. It’s a tangible act of gratitude for all that God has given us. Offering envelopes are assigned to each giving household and ordered through the church office. Simply contact the church office at 515-225-8334 for details.
