Bio: This is my 10th year as director of Seeds of Faith. My husband, Dean, and I have two children—Chloe, 14, and Georgia, 8. Both girls attended Seeds of Faith, and we have been members of Faith Lutheran Church since 1998.
I graduated from Wartburg College with an English Education degree. I taught Language Arts to middle school students for eight years in the public schools. The birth of my first child ignited a passion for early childhood education. Prior to becoming the Preschool Director, I served as the Early Childhood Coordinator here at Faith Lutheran Church.
I obtained my National Administrator Credential from the National Child Care Association in 2008 and an Aim for Excellence National Administrator Credential through National Louis University in 2012. In 2012, I had the honor of being named the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA) Director of the Year. Currently, I am attending National Louis University. I will complete my master of education in Early Childhood Administration in early 2015.
Each day is a gift from God. I challenge myself to be thankful for each day and to lead with a positive attitude.
