Books & Bites for 2009
The Books & Bites Book Club has prepared a list of the books we will be reading from January-June, 2009. We hope this will give everyone enough time to secure the books and have plenty of time to read them prior to our monthly meetings. We will meet at the church on the 2nd Thursday of each month. We thought this might be easier and less stressful, allowing more people to join us without worrying about hosting a meeting.
If you’ve thought about joining Books & Bites, now is a great time to become a member & enjoy the fellowship of this diverse group of women during 2009.
Here is a list of the books we will be reading in the coming months:
January 8, 2009: The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
& Annie Barrows
February 12, 2009: The Shack by William P. Young
March 12, 2009: Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell
April 16, 2009: The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith
May 14, 2009: Knit Two by Kate Jacobs
June 11, 2009: Of Mice & Men by John Steinbeck
July 9 & August 13, 2009: ?
If you need a ride to any meeting or need a babysitter to attend (free!), please call Karith at 422-8113 to make arrangements. We look forward to having our cake and reading, too! Please join us.
