C.H.A.O.S. (Children in the House of our Almighty One Savior), is named rather aptly for the 5th-8th grade students that call C.H.A.O.S. home. C.H.A.O.S. programs are specifically designed for the late elementary and junior high grades, and have been broken into two separate sections. The first for 5th and 6th graders and the second for our 7th and 8th grade students.
5th and 6th Grade - 5th and 6th grade students are invited to participate in First Friday Fellowship (FFF), which is held on the first Friday of every month. Fellowship events have included a Christmas party, a Dr. Suess themed sleepover, trips to Warrior Lanes, Glazed Expressions, and West Grand Golf. FFF is typically held from 6-8 p.m.
Junior high (7th and 8th grade) - Fellowship events for this age group are held monthly, and have included a video scavenger hunt, pumpkin carving and a lock-in. Also, during the summer months, 7th and 8th grade students are invited to participate in Jr. High Youth Group, held Monday nights from 7:30 -9pm in the Gathering House.
Schedule: During the school year, C.H.A.O.S. programming schedule is held at 8:45 and 10 a.m. in the Gathering House. The 5th and 6th grade students meet in the lower level, 7th and 8th graders meet in the upper level. This schedule provides a weekly opportunity to meet for fellowship and study of God and His word.
Several times throughout the year, parents of our C.H.A.O.S. students are invited to Parent Caring Conversation to discuss, with their students and instructors, the subject matter being covered in education hour and how it applies to their family lives.
