Growing Together, Building Faith Capital Campaign Update
September 2007
God has truly blessed Faith through the families who have pledged their support for the Growing Together, Building Faith capital campaign. Here is a fresh progress report:
By the numbers:
- We have formal pledges totaling $1.85 million
- We have verbal commitments for an additional estimated $300,000
- 255 families have made a pledge of support (this compares with 300 families who pledged toward the annual campaign)
- The average pledge size is $7,400
- Members have pledged on average 3.33 times their annual gift (NOTE: this far exceeds the national average!)
We are in prayer with two remaining challenges:
- To receive pledges from those who have not yet made a decision
- To continue to communicate/meet with members who have a unique ability to support the campaign in such a way that would transform the scope of the project.
What do we seek?
We ask for your prayers and your patience. We believe that God is working through this church and through this campaign. While we have completed most elements of the campaign, key work remains that will help us maximize our potential. We seek your prayers and patience as we work through the remaining opportunities.
When will be we ready to build?
Council is excited to begin the next phase which is to bring a detailed plan to the congregation for consideration. At this point, however, council believes it is important to continue in conversation with families who have not yet made a pledge decision—especially with those members who have offered to talk with us about making a special gift that would significantly transform the scope of the project. We expect that process to continue into the early Fall. Just as soon as we have completed this final element of the campaign, we will immediately begin making comprehensive plans based on our final tally.
What happens if we raise no more than is currently pledged?
If we are blessed with the current $2.15M total, we will celebrate that faithful commitment by members and work through the best way to maximize our mission. The membership will be involved in any revisions to the original approved vision for the facility and will be asked to comment and vote on any project proposed.
An Exciting Time at Faith
Did you know that 2009 will represent Faith’s 25th year as a unified parish? Won’t it be inspiring to have a transformed facility as we move into the next 25 years? It is truly an exciting time at Faith! Thank you for your prayers and generous support which enables us together to pursue our mission to Proclaim, Live, and Grow the Faith.
Please feel free to call Lance Noe, Mike Gaul, Jerry Waage, or Jane Turner with any questions or comments. Kala Zanoni at the church office can put you in touch with the person of your choosing.
