Faith Approves New Christian Education Center

On February 18, members of Faith overwhelmingly voted to begin a capital campaign supporting the building of a new Christian Education Center. The expansion will dramatically increase Faith's capacity to grow the faith.

Members also approved support for our world commitment to ministry through Kifula Lutheran Parish in Ugweno, Tanzania. Kifula Lutheran Parish and Faith Lutheran Church have a special relationship of shared ministry called imani moja—one faith. A portion of funds raised through the capital campaign will be used to support this special ministry mission.

We are blessed with a tremendous opportunity to proclaim, grow, and live the faith!

Motions Passed at February 18 Congregational Meeting

On February 18, 2007, the congregation approved the following motions related to the Faith facility expansion project and capital campaign:

Motion 1
The membership of Faith Lutheran Church authorizes the Church Council to
begin a three-year capital campaign by March of 2007 for the purpose of
securing an enhancement of Faith's facilities. Additionally, the
membership approves that two percent (2%) of the dollars given toward
the capital campaign will be placed in a fund reserved for supporting
the ministry of Kifula Lutheran Parish in Tanzania.  Funds received for
Kifula will be distributed with the approval of the Council.

Motion 2
The membership of Faith Lutheran Church authorizes the Church Council to
facilitate the expansion and enhancement of Faith's facilities based on
the plan presented to the membership at the Congregational Meeting of
February 18th, 2007.  Allowable changes in the plan not requiring
further membership approval are limited to adjustments needed to match
the final financial resources secured, necessary zoning/legal and
unforeseen required engineering changes plus minor "good sense"
alterations and adjustments that will enhance the mission for which the
facility upgrade is designed.
