Faith Lutheran Church

Faith Lutheran Church is blessed to have a companion congregation, Kifula Lutheran Parish, in Ugweno, Tanzania. Kifula Lutheran Parish and Faith Lutheran Church have entered into a relationship of shared ministry of imani moja—one faith. We have shared our life and culture with Kifula through correspondence, pictures, and visits.

In January of 2005, Pastor Dave Nerdig and Ryan Larson traveled to Tanzania, where they spent four days with Pastor Miraro and the congregation of Kifula Lutheran Parish. In July of 2006, Pastor and Mrs. Miraro and Anderson and Janeth Mockray visited us at Faith for three weeks. Jerry Waage, Faith's Church Council President, and Brian Turner, Outreach Board Chair, visited Kifula Lutheran from January 13 - 28, 2007. They carried our greetings and love to Pastor and Grace Miraro, Anderson and Janeth Mockray, and Kifula's new pastor, Pastor Kissimbo. They also assessed the needs with which we can help the parish. Another group from Faith plans to travel to Kifula in July of this year.
